A Harvard University study determined this year that women who work the long night shift produced 28% fewer eggs than their counterparts working during social daytime hours. Researchers believe the cause of this could be due to a disruption in one’s circadian rhythm.
This same study determined that women whose work involved heavy lifting had a 14% egg reduction than women who did not experience this in their work. The constant stress that the heavy lifting plays on the body affects its fertility.
