Women suffering from endometriosis may experience problems with fertility. According to Wendy Henderson, roughly 35% of women with endometriosis will have fertility problems.
If you are a woman trying to have a baby and you have endometriosis, Wendy advises that you should conceive earlier in your reproductive life. In addition to studying other causes of infertility, you should consult a doctor if you have endometriosis and are trying to get pregnant.
Your chances of getting pregnant will increase by 40% if you get surgery to remove endometriosis. However, doctors advise that you try to conceive within the first year after the surgery. Since medication for endometriosis is not meant for use during pregnancy, using it while trying to conceive can reduce your chances of getting pregnant.
